HOW STANDBY COLLECTS YOUR INFORMATION

Information Standby Collects from You

When you use the Services, including our website or a merchant website or software that has integrated the Services, we may collect the following types of information from you:

  • Information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, Social Security number, and driver’s license number (“personal information”).
  • Financial information: Bank account information, including account and routing numbers, transaction histories, other bank account details, and debit / credit card numbers
  • Information about your internet connection, the equipment and devices you use to access our Site, the dates and times you use the Site, and other Site usage details.

Information Standby Collects from Third Parties

We may also obtain information about you from third parties such as credit bureaus, identity verification services, and other risk management tools. You may also choose to provide us with access to certain personal information stored by third parties. By associating an account managed by a third party with your Standby account and authorizing Standby to have access to this information, you agree that Standby may collect, store and use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you use the Services, we and our third-party service providers may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about the computer, mobile phone or other devices you use to access the Services. HOW STANDBY PROTECTS YOUR INFORMATION

HOW STANDBY SHARES YOUR INFORMATION

For our Everyday Business Purposes

We share your personal information with employees, agents, affiliates, financing partners, bank partners, distribution partners, merchants, and other third parties as required to offer the Services. We also engage a number of service providers to perform functions on our behalf, including but not limited to: product servicing, marketing, billing and collections, auditing and accounting, analytics, professional services, security, and IT, and we may share your personal information with them in order to perform the Services. Occasionally, these service providers may also collect data directly from you and their privacy policies may also apply.

Sharing with our Merchant Partners

By using the Services, you consent to Standby sharing your personal information with merchants you use the Services with, for those merchants to market to you. We do this to help merchants personalize services and offers, so you can have a better experience. We may also share information about our merchants with our partners, for marketing purposes and to provide a better experience.

In the Event of a Sale, Merger or Other Restructuring

We may also share personal information with another business or non-affiliated entity or its affiliates, advisors or service providers in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of any or all of our assets (some of the personal information that we hold may be among the assets transferred to a buyer or other successor in connection with, or during negotiations of, any joint marketing relationship, merger, acquisition, sale of assets or any line of business, change in ownership control or financing transaction). This Privacy Policy only applies to your use of the Services. Merchants using the Services may have different privacy policies with respect to the handling of your information. The Services are not, and are not intended to be, a part of merchants’ privacy policies. Before providing them with your personal information, you should consult their privacy policies.

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted. DATA DELETION REQUESTS

Upon request from existing or terminated customers, Standby will consider data deletion / expungement on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law and regulation as well as business practices. If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your information 30 days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.

How does Standby collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or use your credit or debit card
  • provide account information or make deposits or withdrawals from your account
  • give us your contact information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Standby (entity) does not share with its affiliates. 

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control.  They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Nonaffiliates we share with can include banking partners, money transmission services and servicers. 

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. 

  • Standby doesn’t jointly market.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

California, North Dakota and Vermont residents: We will not disclose your personal information, financial information or credit report to nonaffiliated third parties to market to you, other than as permitted by the laws of your state of residence, unless you authorize us to make those disclosures.
